About
I am an ambitious Associate Software Engineer with a passion for design who worked diligently to venture into the Technology field. I was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY and graduated from Pace University with a Masters in Computer Science and a minor in Information Systems. As life may have it, after graduation I didn't land a job in my field so I settled for a career in Insurance. After years of working as an Analyst I started my pursuit of becoming a Software Engineer by enrolling and completing MIT certification course, specializing in FullStack Javascript Programming with MERN. Six months into the course I accepted a position at Travelers Insurance as an Associate Software Engineer.

Girls Who Code
Girls Who Code, GWC, is an international nonprofit organization that aims to support and increase the number of women in computer science with a mission to close the gender gap by not only preparing girls to enter the workforce - but preparing them to lead it, to improve it, and to completely and totally transform it. GWC hosts a summer Immersion Program, a specialized campus program, after-school clubs, a college club, college Loops, a series of books and code at home activities. I volunteer and host engagements at their summer Immersion Program. I am in the process of starting my own Girls Who Code club in my state with the help of GWC where I will be mentoring young girls and leading fun interactive activities
Honor Roll Foundation
Honor Roll Foundation provides high school & college students with the necessary resources as they transition to higher education by exposing them to the culture at an HBCU through a college tour and making the transition out-of-state seamless and exciting with a College Warming. They also provide College & University Support with mentorship and shadowing opportunities for college students in order to help tailor their career path. They help them see the bigger picture with their career choice and educate them on traditional and non-traditional routes that can be taken within their career. Each year I sponsor a student to attend the HBCU culture experience tour and donate supplies to the college warming. I also mentor college students in my state and help them adjust to being out of state and in college.
Chesterfield Food Bank
Chesterfield Food Bank Outreach Center is a passionate, faith-based nonprofit with a vision to nourish and strengthen the community. Their mission is about feeding those in need and empowering individuals and families to overcome the root causes of food insecurity. They recognize the unfortunate reality that many in the community fall through the gaps in aid programs offered by the county and other organizations. As a result, they have dedicated themselves to providing additional support to curb hunger for kids, families, individuals, and seniors. Chesterfield Food Bank is driven by the belief that no one should go hungry. Each year my family and I volunteer our time at Chesterfield Food Bank and help pass out food to the community, stock the selfs with food and we also donate food.
Passion Projects
Over the years I have been drawn to the creativity of the front end of programming and am looking to explore my passion of design. In my spare time I enjoy designing invites, programs and flyers for family members. Please see some of these designs below.
